I don't know if you use it very often , but for me it is very important for debug my programs and screens.
With the RR skintool i have several issues.
So, i have made mine SkinTool for DS .
Now, the screen edition don't ask a .txt file but a .skin .
You can see your variables.
Etc...
For each new version please backup before your skintoolds.ini file and delete it !
