Во прикол, представляете! "Directions" мне, оказывается, ответили ёщё давно, но когда именно - совершенно непонятно, поскольку
их письмо датировано Wed, 18 Jun 2003 !!! 
Че за фигня с датами?
Привожу кусок моего письма по поводу сдвинутой влево прямой дороги:
...When driving down a straight road the direction of the road on the screen
is at a slight angle...
So, my questions are:
Why is a straight road at a slight angle?
Is it is possible to adjust it to 12 o`clock?
Would it be the same in the next version of the PC Navigator?
Их ответ:
This is due to projection, it is straight in some parts of Europe and a
little angled in others.
We use lat/long in our co-ordinate system, which has this disadvantage,
but is more accurate for GPS. If, like some others, create your own
system, then it could be straight up, but the accuracy in some parts of
europe would not be so good.
